Eligibility Criteria
MBBS & Other Medical Courses:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
NEET Exam- Candidates who are appearing for the class 12 or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply for NEET 2024.
12th percentage required for NEET 2024 are separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in 12th to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects
UR – 50%,
OBC/SC/ST – 40%,
PWD – 45%
B. Tech Course:
Eligibility criteria for admissions into BTech colleges are almost similar throughout the country. The basic criteria for admission are as follows:
Passed 12th standard with science stream having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as the subjects.
Secured at least 50% marks in each of the aforementioned subjects.
Students who come under the category of SC/ST are eligible for 5% relaxation in the aggregate and qualifying marks.
For subjects like Biomedical or Biotechnology Engineering students need to have Biology as a subject in the 12th Class. Alternatively, some colleges require either Biology or Mathematics as a part of Class 12 studies.
Students need to take an entrance examination, the scores or ranks of which will determine their admission to a college.
Appear for Engineering Entrance Examinations – Engineering aspirants need to qualify JEE Mains or state level entrance examinations.
MBA & PGDM Course:
The basic qualification required to join an MBA course in India is as follows:
Indian citizens as well as international students are eligible to pursue an MBA course in India.
Students who wish to join an MBA course must note that a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university is mandatory to be eligible for the admission process.
The minimum percentage required in the Bachelor’s degree to take up an MBA course varies from 45% – 60%.
A valid score in any of the management entrance exams such as CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ NMAT etc.
BCA(H) Course:
The candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 45-50% of marks. For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks can be around 40-45%.
Students who have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12th are eligible for BCA admission.
The age limit to pursue BCA course is 21 years for General category and 24 years for SC/ ST/ other reserved categories. This criterion may vary across different colleges/ universities.
Most private colleges in India conduct CET entrance exam for BCA admission. In all, direct admission is possible in BCA in most colleges and universities across the country.
BBA(H) Course:
For admissions into BBA courses, students are needed to clear the 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board or school.
Some colleges consider the criteria of securing 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
The age should be between 17 to 25 years
Most private colleges in India conduct CET entrance exam for BBA admission. In all, direct admission is possible in BBA in most colleges and universities across the country.
